Fire risk assessment
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 placed a new emphasis on fir safety- that of occupier risk assessment. This radical overhaul of fire safety legislation moved the responsibility for fire safety from statutory and safety bodies to the occupier of a premises.
There is now a "duty of care" on the "responsible person" - such as the employer in a work place, operator of a care home or manager of a setting - that requires them to provide and maintain adequate fire precautions. The responsible person is required to ensure that a Fire Risk Assessment is carried out and that the premises meet fire standards.
We can assist you with complying with this legislation by carrying out your fire risk assessment for you. The risk assessment shows that:
- A fire risk assessment has been done
- The methodology used in the assessment
- Significant findings and action required as a result
One of our experienced qualified consultants will visit your premises and carry out a full fire risk assessment. Any urgent actions will be notified on the day and a full written assessment will be sent highlighting areas for action.

REMEMBER: failure to carryout a fire risk assessment and act on the findings carries both financial and potential imprisonment penalties!
